To ensure the availability and reliability of its key raw materials, Minor Food has two manufacturing plants which produce high quality, specialized cheeses and ice cream for Thai and international markets. Minor Dairy Limited and Minor Cheese Limited were founded in 1991 with manufacturing facilities in Nakornratchasima province.

    MDL produces a variety of premium ice cream products and toppings for food brands under Minor Food such as Swensen's, Dairy Queen and Burger King, as well as supplying the same quality ingredients to leading customers outside the group
  • Minor Cheese Limited
    MCL produces a wide range of cheeses and cheese blends including mozzarella, cheddar, string cheese, Parmesan, mascarpone, cream cheese and sour cream. MCL is not only a key supplier to various restaurant operations of its parent, Minor Food, but is also a major supplier to companies in the Thai and regional food services sector.

Job Description

1.    Job Purpose

Responsible for overseeing all quality assurance efforts such as product quality/safety assurance and technical supports within Minor Food both locally and internationally; including the development and implementation of a quality assurance program, formalize process capability and institutionalize process control and predictive quality processes, as well as structure supplier development program for continuous improvement. Primary concentration will be on developing strategy and driving action towards product quality and food safety along supply chain, starting from upstream suppliers, logistic/ distribution, stores and consumers. Conducts inspections of processes ensures compliance with applicable food laws and regulations.

2.    Main Responsibilities

·Establish Quality Assurance strategy to strengthen product quality and food safety foundations, as well as sustainability program for the company.

·Develops and ensures that implementation of food safety and monitoring programs meet corporate and regulatory standards. Oversees and monitors program implementation.

·Reviews all quality control test results and provides disposition of finished product to ensure deliver excellence product to customers.

·Develops, implements and monitors ongoing execution of all product-related testing and product holds pertaining to quality or food safety issues. Has direct authority and responsibility for final disposition determination and execution for finished product.

·Provides direction for in-process, product testing, instrument calibration and environmental testing

·Leads on investigation, tracking and provides responses for customer complaints and returns

·Develops and monitors standard operating procedures (SOPs) as they pertain to the QA function and product quality

·Updates reports on product quality, environmental results and incident activities

·Interacts with regulatory compliance agencies

·Together with SQA team, audit and approve suppliers, assure the supplier’s capabilities and technology meet MF’s standard.

·Continuously define and refine company quality and food safety standards

·Oversee vendor/ suppliers quality assurance and food safety

·Assure approved ingredients are fully compliance with specification.

·Provide technical support to develop new ingredients, matching and improve ingredient qualities.

·Co-responsibility with Operation of all brands of Minor Food to achieve Bacteria Count Score 100 %.

·Direct appropriate lab testing

·Function as internal subject matter expert for all food safety issues and QA trends, including store level food safety, supply chain food safety, the regulatory environment and legislation (both existing and proposed)

·Ensure the company makes any necessary internal adjustments to processes and training to ensure proactive compliance and strong quality and food safety

·Continue learning new technology, up-date know-how and apply to works.

·Directs and facilitates the annual training of employees in GMP, HACCP, BRC, Allergen, Food Security and other quality and food safety expectations/programs of the quality management system

·Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Other Duties:

·Adhere to the company’s employee rules & regulations.

·Attend and contribute to all training sessions, meetings and activities as required.

·Exercises responsible behavior at all times, positively representing the MF.

·Maintains strong, professional relationship with relevant business partners.

·Ensure high standards of personal presentation and grooming.

·Keep the office and working areas clean and tidy at all times.

·Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

System Quality :

· Quality system, GMP, HACCP, HALAL, ISO 9000, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, TIS/OHSAS 18001, ISO14001, ISO 50001, 5S.

· Food safety team follow name list TN-SP-HA-002

· Internal audit team follow name list TN-SP-HA-003

Qualification

Qualifications : 

  • Strong understanding of microbiology preferred.
  • Working knowledge of QA management principles, practices and procedures preferred, as well as experience with regulatory systems and audits.
  • Good command of English and computer literacy

 

Education : 

  • At least Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Food Science / Food Technology or related fields.

Experience : 

At least 20 years direct experience in quality assurance of food product/ approximately 10 years of related experience as a Quality Assurance manager
